A representational artist, I am influenced in my painting by my environs and travels. Using acrylics and pastels, I celebrate color, light and shape, reflecting the joy that can be experienced from even the simplest of objects. My work is intense, with bold colors and impasto paint application.

I am very active while painting, moving constantly, energized by the music of the day. Never limited in subject matter, if I’m not working directly from a still life or model, I use my own sketches, photographs or slides to jump-start the creative process for a landscape. These references soon get put aside as I get further into my own interpretation of a place, wanting my viewer to experience what I did when I was there. Sometimes, fantasy or whimsy comes out to play.

I exhibit in regionally and nationally juried shows, and have had several solo exhibitions in museums and galleries, as well. My work is included in the permanent collections of Ortho McNeil Pharmaceuticals, Dallas, TX; McGraw-Hill Publishing Companies, New York, NY; Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia PA; Rodale Press, Emmaus, PA; Fieldcrest, Lancaster, PA; Art Association Of Harrisburg, PA; Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce, Lancaster, PA; City Of Bethlehem, PA; and the Lancaster Museum of Art, Lancaster, PA. My paintings are also included in countless private collections, both nationally and internationally.

My partner/husband, Gary, works with me in many, many supportive roles in bringing our work to life.
